Aadhaar based subsidy got Green signal from PM

Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh give a green signal to the architecture of Aadhaar based subsidy transfer which will be launched now nationwide and beneficiaries will get cash or subsidy direct into their bank account which will reduce the middle man and help in reducing corruption. This will include wages of NAREGA, Scholarships, Pensions and health care benefits.

Implementing time bound electronic fund transfer directs to the bank account will help the government to remove out the duplicate entries and wastage and will strengthen the public distribution system like these. The removal of middle man will definitely help the poor people who were gamed into the system and never got the deserving pay for their work.

The structure is to form a committee under PM including various other ministers like Petroleum, Finance, Law, Rural and all other major ministries including UIDAI which will be responsible for taking decisions in system of aadhaar and to bring the urgency whenever needed to ensure the smooth functioning of the project.

A National executive committee will also be formed which consist of secretaries of various ministries will also be set up whose coordination will take care of all the problems coming into the way of the project. Then there will be few more sub committees to makes sure that there is no hitch left in the system. There will be a separate panel for technology which will review the technical guidelines and also a panel which will finalize details related to design and operation of system. A electronic benefit transfer committee will also be setup which will look after all the details of transfers like databases and control audits.

This project is now covering about 200 Million people and the mandate is to cover the 600 Million people as soon as possible so that most of the person can take the advantage of Aadhaar.
